This is one of my favorite items in the Culturally Appropriate line. As an Afro-Jamaican, I recognize the complexity of my heritage. The African-American heritage often is a complex identity with traces of Native & Latin American roots, as well as African, Caribbean, European and even Asian heritage. This is what makes this group so similar to our distant cousins in the Caribbean and South America.
